HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Each therapy session is generally 50 minutes, once a week. Occasionally we may agree to work in shorter but more frequent sessions or have a longer session to work on a specific problem.
HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?
I charge 400 NIS an hour but offer a sliding scale for those with financial difficulties.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THERAPY IS RIGHT FOR ME?
There has to be a click between a therapist and their client. While not the only ingredient in successful therapy I have never heard of a successful therapy where the client and therapist didn't connect! It may take a few sessions to get going but if you don't feel like therapy is going anywhere then it probably isn't. I will always check in with you to see how things are moving along but "is this therapy right for me" is a valid question and one which we should discuss within the first few weeks of getting to know each other.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO DO THERAPY FOR?
The magic question. If you come to me with one specific focused difficulty like a phobia, following a one-off trauma or with specific anxiety, we may be able to work in a focused manner. In that case, we could set a goal of working together for three to six months. For longer term problems or those which require more complex treatment, we should aim to work for at least six months. This means that you need to make sure that you have the time and means to take this on weekly.
